Alternative Provision Lead and Assist Facilitators

Freedom Foundation are looking for lead and assistant facilitators who have experience of working with children and young people in schools, alternative provisions or community settings to deliver in our alternative provision settings.

We have vacancies for enthusiastic and passionate people with:

– Performing arts and music background

– Singers or songwriters

– Rap and beatboxing skills

– 1-2-1 mentoring capabilities

– Experience of working with children with additional needs

 

Key Responsibilities

· Working with children in Key Stage 1 & 2 who need tailored education, whether due to additional needs, trauma, anxiety, school refusal, or previous exclusions

· Supporting learners with improving emotional regulation, self-esteem and mental health through wellbeing support

· Delivering our programmes and supporting children in re-engaging with learning, aiming to help them transition from our alternative provision back into a mainstream school setting

· Attend mandatory training sessions

 

Additional Key Responsibilities (Lead Facilitators only)

· Plan fun and engaging sessions in accordance with our programmes and resources

· Tailor session content to suit a wide range of abilities and needs

· Maintain accurate records and reports

· Identify and address barriers to learner’s progress

· Reporting progress to the wider team to offer valuable insights into each child’s development

 

You will receive thorough training, guidance and support to understand our programmes, and in return we need you to be adaptable, approachable and most importantly awesome!

Pay: £80 per day for Assistant Facilitators, £150 per day for Lead Facilitators

Hours: Minimum 3 days a week with the possibility of up to 5 days, Term-time only

Locations: Nottingham City and Derby City
